Just read the latest version of Car and Driver. They mentioned a new all wheel drive system for the 04 MO along with the shifttronic tranny. Anyone know what the new all wheel drive system will consist of? Was there a problem with the 03 AWD system?

Hadn't heard anything about a new AWD system until you mentioned it. I haven't had a chance to use the existing system yet so I don't know how good or bad it is. The only way that they could improve that I could see would be to switch to a mechanical, viscous coupling system like Audi for true AWD that could swing AWD bias anywhere and not just have a 50/50 limit.

The shiftronic is the new part

They were not able to complete it in time for 03 models. The AWD part has no reported change to it. The cars are already built and are on their way here, so we would have known about it by now.
