can’t seem to diagnose the shake coming from the rear. Seems to happen only intermittently at different speeds but also seems to go away every few stops at red lights then comes back at random. Can get very violent and is most noticeable around 35-45mph.
Heard of death wobble but thought that was usually a front end issue.

Was initially discovered on highway going 55mph pulled over because it felt like I had a knot it my tire . Wheel and tire seems fine

Doesn’t seem like a balancing issue but the line for my preferred tire shop was out the door and haven’t gotten them re-balanced yet .

I read somewhere it could have been attributed to blown struts so I replaced both on the rear and still have the issue .

Anyone have any ideas any help is appreciated.

First generation Muranos have a history of rear subframe corrosion. This is a safety hazard, have it inspected or check it yourself ASAP.

This is one of many reports: Rear subframe issues and other concerns.

Thanks for the suggestion I have already inspected that . But good news I found that it was a seized caliper piston . Easy fix and drives like it should now
