I had a 25915-9UA2 in my 2017, which I can only assume is from a 2016 since mine was built in October. I replaced it with 25915-9UC2A and it works fantastic. It’s the Non-Bose model. You can add that to your confirmed upgrade list if you choose!
Thanks to this thread for the inspiration and part numbers. Some of the models confirmed CarPlay by salvage yards go for $1000. I got mine for $225. They wouldn’t even confirm if it had an SD card in it, but they did show it working and the screens weren’t grayed out so I knew it was in it.
I’m super stoked to finally have CarPlay.

What did your previous unit looked like? I think I'm also stuck with a 2016 unit in my 2017 Murano, it has "iPod" button instead of "Camera"

I need to get the Bose version as well, but some of these are really expensive online!

It was identical looking. The only visible difference is the software.
I remember reading you need the plug with the brown socket. Brown is for Bose. White is non-Bose. This may be the right one.

Hello all!

Has someone upgraded to a 9UE1C radio (with Bose) from a 28185-5AA1A radio (with Bose)?

The radio unit in my 2017 Murano looks like the attached pictures. It seems the 9UE1C has a bigger connector that I don’t know what’s for and my 5AA1A unit has slightly different connections.

I’m seeing different information online. It appears the 28185-5AA1A was equipped on some Maximas at some point too.

I am led to believe some significant re-wiring needs to happen if I am to replace this. Does anyone happen to have access to the 25915-9UE1C and 28185-5AA1A wiring diagrams?

I realized 28185-5AA1A is a non-navigation stereo. Has anyone upgraded to an OEM navigation stereo from a base trim one?

The non-navigation stereos are made by Panasonic, not Clarion, and have different connectors in the back.

Wondering if a stereo with navigation can be plugged in, if at all. Perhaps some harnesses are required?
