Robo, my question for you is simply, am I expecting too much. Could there be an appreciable difference in the heat output of the Ford Edge we previously had and our new Murano? With the Edge in outside temps of teens or 20's we'd set the inside temp from 70 to 75 and be toasty and comfortable with the fan running very slowly. With the Murano we're setting the temp from 75 to 80 with the fan blasting at or near max and can just get comfortable. There is excellent flow out of the dash vents but I don't want heat blowing at me that way. Maybe you're right and I'm one of the "lucky" ones. The dealer wasn't surprised with my question and his response indicates I'm not the first to complain.
At 72 I am roasting... I set to 68 usually and just turn the fan up to 3 for the beginning of the ride and then down to 2. I do use the seat heater at first, so that helps provide instant heatI don’t know. I’m not in flip flops and shorts. I’m in a down coat with a hat and sometimes gloves. I have to turn it down to 72 or I’m burning up.
@Robotazky
2nd Update. I fixed the heater on my 18 Murano, I traded for a 19 Kia Sorento. Thanks for the comments. It was clear the dealership was not going to help so I swallowed the unwanted expense of trading after only 9 months and am moving on.
I have 2017 murano with same deal. Cant feel air blowing on feet. Must be a design problem.My 2018 Murano heater will not warm your feet. The upper vents blow plenty of heat but there is very little volume and warmth on both sides at your feet. I have had it to the dealer twice and they think it is fine. They use a thermometer to measure heat and say it is fine. There is heat but it doesn't reach my feet. Is this normal with 18 Muranos? I had two Rogues and they were fine.
Thanks for any help.
