Is an Aftermarket a Good idea? I heard the dealership could put a factory roof in??

A dealership here in the Seattle area was doing this on some MOs. Custom order, but it can be done. Specifically what they were doing was puting in a dual sunroof rather than the factory one. They have had several orders for this so far.

Certainly looked nice, having one for the front and one for the back, but the problem was that they were smaller sunroofs (front to back) than the factory. I'm all for spending a few extra bucks to let my rear passengers have a sunroof, but not at the expense of making MINE smaller! :)

But, I figure if they can put in a double sunroof, they should be able to put in the factory one easily enough...

I would do it.........

as long as it had an iron clad guarantee against leakage.
None of this "well you can't expect it to stay dry in a __________"

Classic Softrim (nationwide) will install an excellent sunroof for about $1200. Looks just like OEM.
