Any opinions on whether dynamic traction control is even needed with all wheel drive, or does it make it work better? Live just north of Seattle, but on a hill. Can get ice & some winters a little snow!
The traction control is just an added incentive to Vehicle Dynamic Control, which is what you are really paying the money for. I think VDC is worth the price for peace of mind that if you were in even in that situation, you would not spin the car out if you had to do an emergency maneuver on a slippery surface (AWD won't help you there).
As for Seattle snow, I would guess either the FWD with traction control or AWD would be fine. Nonetheless, I think the VDC is the worth it option to get (and it comes with traction control).
