For the past few months whenever I close the car door and the keys are inside or when I start the car a rapid 10 or so beeps sound from the outside of the car. Maybe a computer or key fob issue? I changed the battery on the key fob which had no change. Any ideas?

Somehow your car is thinking you are locking the doors with the keys inside. Close all doors and lock and unlock the driver door with the physical key to see if that resets anything.

This isn't intended as unsympathetic, but why not take the keys with you? This is an anti-theft measure built into the vehicle.

I'm having the same problem and it happens when I enter the car to drive. As soon as I close the door the beeping starts like I am trying to lock the door with the fob in the car. The beeping stops after several beeps and the car starts fine. It is annoying but mainly, I just want to be sure nothing serious is wrong.

If you have a second fob, see if the same thing happens.
