Just curious as to which mode everyone here uses the most...

Personally, I can't get my head around Bird View. But on most pictures of MONav posted on this forum, it seems Birdview is very popular.

In my old vehicle, I used a Garmin StreetPilot Color for about 4 years or so... I'm just so accustomed to the plan type view.

Thanks in advance for participating!

I'm a bird brain

I used Birdview, b/c it has more info.
I used the same resolution and drove around my area and found that in plan view not all of the smaller streets showed up. When i got the MO i used planview, as that's what i was used to from other systems. When some of the roads didn't appear i chalked it up to old version vs. new. But then i tried birdview b/c hey it's there that's try that ;) - anyways, all of a sudden there are those small roads etc.

I thought plan view would show more streets since you can zoom in to 1/16 scale vs 1/4mile scale on the bird view.

Preference is dependent....
I use plan view when using the navi. But put it in bird view when I know where I'm going, since the perspective is cooler.
Yes, I flip/flop.

I've tried both and prefer plan view with North pointing up.

Does it come factory programmed for bird view? If so, that's the one i use. I tried switching back and forth one day between the two, but got confused on the other one.

So, whatever they set it to when you drive out of the dealership...

Oh, and i love the forum. Just found it last week and already have a TON of tips for my MO! :D

Bird view as the default (looks more aesthetically pleasing).

Plane view for navigation as its consistent with how I learned to read a map!
