Why not get a traditional floor jack? They aren't that expensive. Local warehouse clubs like Costco or Sam's Club have 3 ton floor jacks for less than $100. If you want a lightweight aluminum one, its just a little more. When you are working underneath the vehicle, you do not want to take any compromises in safety, and that includes jacks (and of course, the accompanying jack stands).
I have this beast of a floor jack made by Michelin. Its big. blue, and has a capacity of 4 tons. It also weighs about a ton (ok probably more like 120 lbs) and is a bear to push around the garage, but I'm always happy to have it lift up the MO very easily (and high) before I put it on jackstands.
