Just lurked around Ebay..........
Paid $16,700.

Bid on two Thunderbirds.
Both Little birds.
THey are really in my time frame.
I graduated HS in 56. I lived Rock Around the Clock and Elvis.

Got beat out on one.
I bid $26,000US on a 56 bird and lost to a guy who bid 26,550US.
I would have had to buy a HT and have Vintage AC installed.......
The other one I won!
$28,000US for a nice 57.
Mine was high bid.
Missed the "reserve" by thousands!
A real nice little bird is 40K........

Decided to pull my horns in a bit and buy a Mustang. Heck, I'll have just as much fun.

I don't think I will lose, but I doubt if it appreciates much either. THey made something like 1.2 Million of 'em (55-56-57)
EDIT: I MEANT 64 1/2-65-66 for the Stang.
55-56-57 was the Little Bird.

As to the firebird.......
Not a lot of convertibles around.
Real nice 350 coupes are going for about $25,000US.
Convertibles? I would have to guess that a real clean one would go $35,000US and up.
Mostly up.

Homer,

I found your auction.

GREAT CAR! :10: (can I have the keychain?)

If that thing is half as nice as the photos indicate, I think you stole it!

Time to restock the Zaino.

Good Luck.

Sorry I took so long to jump in here, but I had to wipe the drool off the keyboard three times...

That is Sweeeeeet! I love the colours as it reminds me of waiting for the bus to go to school one day (17 years old) and seeing a 1968 Ragtop Firebird in similar colours. (The blue was darker.) It pulled up to the traffic light and I was in love. Then I saw the beautiful young blonde driving it... Reality snapped back into place as the light went green, they both left and the bus pulled up.

Had my bike back on the road later that week, but never saw her, er I mean, the car again....

Guy across the street from me has an similar vintage 'Stang in white. Always like'd them...

Nice score, Homer!

Nice car. The original Mustang was built in 1964-1966. I had a new 1966 Mustang GT convertible, 4 speed, 225 hp with the Pony interior.
