Does anyone else have this problem?
2003 w/ Bose 6-disc

-CD's skip constantly, no matter which disc you try to play (which position in the changer).

-Seems to happen first thing in the morning on extremely cold mornings.

-Problem exists with both burned and store-bought CD's.

-Skipping seems to stop after 5 or 10 minutes of driving (warmup?)

-CD player has been replaced by dealer recently to attempt to correct this.

Do a search. There are several threads on this forum discussing your same problem.

This is a common problem due to condensation as the truck warms up. It refracts the laser (blah, blah, blah). I would be concerned if it continued much longer than 5 or 10 minutes...

Get a PAC and an MP3 flash player! NO moving parts!

Or low buck solution, turn on the radio!

I feel your frustration... happens more than I'd like too.

I used to warm my CD on my leg for a minute before playing until the car warmed up. Until my cd player died completely and I put in an aftermarket.

About a year and a half ago I went through two CD players based on this problem... on warranty of course... and I was warned not to use burned CDs.

Same situation though, cold weather seemed to be the trigger, exept mine would skip then quit playing music.
