Hi all -

When the windows are down and bumps come along, i'm hearing a metal on metal clunk noise coming from the suspension. I only have about 4k on this car. I'm on NYC so bumbs will be part of my cars lifespan but i dont think it should be making such clunking sounds. Any ideas ??

Hi, my 2009 Murano S AWD 157k miles just started to have similar sounding clunking sounds from the rear. I jacked up the rear end & removed the driver rear tire to look a the suspension components, but nothing caught my eye. I was hoping to see a badly worn out rubber bushing or something the like. Did you ever find out what caused the clunking sound or what was done to cause the sound to go away?

Check shocks, especially mounts, and also look at any universal joints in the drivetrain and check for slack.

Bushings are more likely.
