I've got a 2015 Murano Vin# 5N1AZ2MHXFN253159

The power liftgate opens fully and slowly drops several inches taking part of my head with it. I've reset the lift and I suspect the shocks are shot.
So, I want to convert it so it is a manual lift.

I need to know answers to the following questions please.

1. Can this be done?
2. I need part numbers as I assume the brackets left/right side and top/bottom would need to be replaced as well as top/bottom both sides.
3. Shock part numbers left and right sides.
4. Any other parts needed.

Thanks, Brian

I suggest checking Curtesy Nissan Parts Online. Their diagrams are helpful and usually have part numbers. You may also need to work with a local dealer for parts numbers.

Seems like it would be easier to replace the struts.

Thanks but I've already called Nissan and four places four different answers. Another place only tried to sell me the orginal liftgate shocks at $600 + Tx each. If the first set only lasted less than four year there is no way I'd do a second set. That's why I thought I'd go manual lift.
