I just had my oil changed for the first time and the tech said where is the skid plate?.
It covers the under carrage. He said, some have it and some do not Why is that?
I have a 05se

Their is a plate that covers the area that needs to be removed to access the oil filter area and mine does not have it

I was told 03 and 04 had the plates

My '05 doesn't have one and I don't recall it being available as a factory option.

In Australia a friend of mine had 3 cars: a mini van for family hauling, sports sedan for fun and guess what – a WWII Jeep for serious off-road driving. I was surprisesd with the Jeep. He explained by asking me a question: “would you take the Landcruiser ($80K car) for real off-road driving?”.

I guess you know the answer.

Skid Plate

I was under the Murano today installing a Front Bumper Guard. I dont have a skid plate on my 04, There is a Plastic/Rubber piece of Material that covers my oil filter and is attached with those plastic fasteners.
