Thanks for the info!Your symptoms are too vague to suggest anything specific.
Have a shop check front and rear suspension for loose parts and faulty shocks for a start.
See this thread for what seems to be an unusual problem with faulty sway bar bushings on the 3rd generation that's been reported several times on these forums: 2019 Nissan Murano SV Front Clunking SoundSomething is making a noise when I go over bumps in the road. Small or large bumps it sounds like something is loose. I've read about sway bar bushings wearing out causing the bar to shift and rattle a little bit. Anyone else having these noises?
I think for the price, I'll start with replacing the bushings and go from there. Thanks.See this thread for what seems to be an unusual problem with faulty sway bar bushings on the 3rd generation that's been reported several times on these forums: 2019 Nissan Murano SV Front Clunking Sound
This may not be your problem, but it is something you can check.
Thanks, Pilgrim. The stabilizer bars appear to be secure and torqued correctly. With the faulty bushings, do you think Nissan has improved them so this won’t happen again or should I buy aftermarket? That doesn't look good - and if you can do that by hand, it is NOT as it should be. Nice work to find that. Better make sure both ends of that sway bar are attached properly as well.
Good job.I think I found out what my my problem is
Check 'em all. The OEM bushings are OK to us.Good job.
I wonder if the swaybar links have a problem too.
Cheers
I've been running aftermarket bushings for at least a year already on mine. No issues so far and they were like $15 for the pair. I did replace the end links at the same time with aftermarket at $30. They've been great this whole time. Thanks, Pilgrim. The stabilizer bars appear to be secure and torqued correctly. Be careful! It could be your rear subframe. My 2010 Murano fishtailed on the expressway with no prior indication of an issue other than the occasional noise from the rear end. I mentioned it to the dealer when I obtained a wheel alignment, but was told everything was tight. I could have been injured or injured someone else when this happened. Now, Nissan offers NO assistance at all with replacing and the dealer wants $4k. I found another mechanic to do it for $3k, but I would have to pay for a rental as well as paying the dealer for the rental they gave me and diagnostic fees. I feel it is a safety issue that 1) the dealer should have noticed when the alignment was done and 2) Nissan is aware of the issue and I do not care if I had 200k miles, there are junk cars way older that do not have this issue!
