So I've had my Murano about 10 days and ran 1 full tank of gas through it.

I drive mostly highway, about 50 miles daily for work plus in-town excursions on the weekend.

I had 397 miles on it when the E light came on. The computer said my MPG was 21.7 and that I had 30 miles to empty.

When I did the actual math on refuel I calculated the MPG to be 21.5, pretty close for the computer! However the time to empy was off by 34 miles. At 21.5 average I would have had approx 64 miles of driving left before I would have run out of gas.

At least it was LESS instead of MORE than actual usage. I'd be a little upset if it read 64 and I only made it 30 and ran out of gas!

DTE is not very accurate. I never rely on it. I also have habit of refueling with at lease ¼ tank of gas. Learned the hard way…

I have found on my MO that the DTE indication drops like a rock below 80 km remaining, so for me 80 really means 30 if you want to push it almost dry......
