I think the spirit of Curly Howard of the 3 Stooges has decided to come back and live in the front end of my MOE (MO).

I hear a whoooob, whoooob, whoooob sound that I think is coming from the left front wheel. To me it sounds like something my be out of round. It is distintive and noisy and the sound increases or decreases relevant to the speed of the vehicle. Warped rotors maybe? Who knows. I have 22,000 + miles and the original tires. Do the tires become noisier as time goes by? I had a front end alignment done at the 12,000 mile mark, not by choice but by the SM's advice.

A neighbour's MO had much the same noise. The noise would increase on a hard wheel lock in one direction and diminish when the wheel was turned hard over to the opposite direction.

Turned out to be a bad bearing.

Indeed, it might be a bad wheel bearing or a warped rotor.

Most noises as you described could be due to a bad tire. Move the tire to the back and see if the noise moves with it.

Elliotgb.. HEY MOE..SOITINLY, nyuk, nyuk, nyuk. ;)

I agree with zebelkhan.

I really think its the tire. Try and rotate to see if that is the problem.
Its a cheap diagnoses if that is it.
