Hello, all,

I've been reading the manual trying to find out my answer and I've also been trying to search through the forums.....

Just picked up an '06 SL AWD this weekend. Only played with the NAV system a little bit, but it seems that the voice emanates from the front right speaker...verified by otheres.

The threads I've read speak of the front speakers muting. The stereo seems like it plays ok across all the speakers.

Yeah, pretty brilliant on my part --- totally vague and has typos.

the question is:

Where should I be hearing the "voice" from? I expected it would be a generic stereo effect, but it seems it only comes from the right front speaker.

Comes from both right and left front speakers but not stereo. You can change the guidance volume level in the menus.

Lacking in the 06 Mo is the ability to MUTE the NAV voice without canceling the Destination Route.

I've looked but cannot find a feature to do this? Am I missing something?

Settings, turn voice on or off or change guidance volume.

Yes, I've used this option BUT I was looking for a quick MUTE button like other NAV systems have. The volume control is toooo many levels deep into the menu system. Maybe in next version.
