HELP! Parts and/or motor swap 2013 to 2015 Nissan Murano?

We have a 2005 Nissan Murano that my step son has been hard on, and it's now needing boatloads of work - more than the value of the car. He cannot afford another car.
My husband was recently in an accident that totaled our 2013 Platinum Murano.
BEFORE we have the car towed to our home as a new yard ornament, I want to know how much (especially under the hood - but including the hood & windshield) of the 2013 is salvageable to use on the 2005...?
Thank you!

They are two different generations. I doubt you'll find much common body wise. Some mechanical parts, like brakes and tires will swap over.

Good luck.

Have a good day.

Difficult call, the engine maybe very close to the same, you need to call an outfit that deals with used engines and transmissions and ask. Wrecking yards used to have interchange books or data bases to tell if an engine or part will interchange. If the basic engine will work then all the electronics from the old many have to be put on to the new.

Aside from the engine I doubt much will interchange...and I'm not sure the engine will either. Those are two different generations of the Murano.

Yeah Murano's aren't like old chevy's a V8 from 1955 would fit into a 1990 just fine and vise versa. But even through generations of the newer vehicles it can be a bunch of trouble for the manufacture to retool the engines, the main thing that can change is things that affect emissions, like the cam specs and tone rings etc. in that case even swapping the sensors etc from old to new, could still end up with trouble due to the wrong signals sent because of a different count tone ring here or there. I would though think that the simple things like bolt holes and mount points would all stay the same. Really need to know some specifics about both engines. Since they have the parts already its worth the effort.
