Hi everyone. Just traded in my 2010 Altima for a new 2018 Murano. Loving the ride and features of my new car, but the gas mileage, not so much:( Looking forward to getting ideas and advice from the members here.

Coming from a 2002 Toyota Truck that felt like 18/20mpg, the Murano has been nice 22/28mpg change

I'll bet it does. I only got 21.5 after the first 300 miles with 75 % highway driving. Hoping that the dealership didn't really fill the tank full. We'll see on the second tank.

Check your tires in the morning.

I like your car. That’s the color I had and it looks beautiful in the sunshine.

Thanks. That is first thing I did. They were at 31 lbs. Put them to 33. Both the dashboard and the old air gauge agree now.

You are crazy! My 2018 gets 20 in the city and 32+ on the highway. What other SUV this size can boast this kind of mileage?

I always get better mileage than others and never saw over 30 mpg and mine was only front wheel drive. I think you’re talking about 55 mph.

I assure you I am quite sane and can do simple math Lol. The fuel usage computer put the car at 25.5 on that first tank. I am hoping that is closer to the actual. As I stated the dealership filled the tank so they easily could have left it a couple gallons shy of full. Headed on a 1600 mile round trip next month from Idaho To Arizona. Most of it will be at 80 mph. You now have me hoping that the car will get over 30 mpg on that trip. But you are correct, the estimated fuel economy is much better than the Ford Edge, Toyota Highlander, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Those were the three other SUVs I looked at and chose the Murano because of the better fuel mileage and of course ride quality and the interior and exterior styling.

You know what.. you don't have a clue what i'm talking about. I'm getting 32.4 at 70 - 75 MPH on the interstates in WV and PA which are NOT flat. So, I don't appreciate you implying that I'm lying about my mileage.

LOL! Get a grip on yourself, man. That’s gotta be the most epically ridiculous reaction I’ve ever seen on forums. Are you drunk or just a jerk?
