It looks like I will be buying my MO this weekend! I am flying from Boise to San Jose to pick up a silver SL at $200 under invoice. Since the drive back will be 12 hours through California and Nevada, what things should I be doing to "break in" the car?

Thanks for the link, fantastic post. It looks like I can get the break in done all in one shot. Keeping the RPMs down while driving through barren stretches of Nevada will be tough...

I am used to my Acura Integra where you have to rev it to 5000rpms just to dip into the power, which is fun, but can be very tiring over long distances.

Ideally you want to keep the RPMs moving, so what ever you do, try to avoid cruising at 1800 the whole way. Stay away from those long flat valley drives for extended periods of time!
