I just got a 2016 Murano SV and I was looking to change out the instrument cluster bulbs for some colored LED versions. I was thinking it would look cool to have yellow numbers and needles in my guages in homage to my old 2007 model. Or even red, like a BMW.

I've done this in other cars, and its usually a pain to get the cluster out. But once that is done it is really easy to twist the bulb sockets loose and change the bulbs.

So, and I was excited at how easy it was to pull off the dash cover, undo 3 screws and and pull out the cluster.

However, when I looked at the back of the cluster I did not see any bulb twist sockets. No way that I could see to change the bulbs at all.

I didn't want to take the actual cluster apart trying to figur it out - until I got a little more background information. Googling the question did not bring up anything specific to the 2015+ generation Murano either.

Sooooo... does anyone know... is it even possible to change the cluster bulbs in a 2016 Murano?
Seems weird that there wouldn't be a way to do it, so any other ideas would be welcome!

I haven't pulled apart a 3rd gen Murano's cluster, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are surface mounted LEDs.

Have a good day.
