Meaning that you've told us essentially nothing about the problem.
Mileage? Recent work or repairs? Engine condition? Collisions which might involve electronics? Any other odd behavior of the vehicle?
Tell us the story. Include all details you can think of. Right now the answer based on no information is: "Gee, too bad."

Looks like an abandoned thread. It really is essential to provide at least a few details of the problem. Are you talking about a "dieseling" effect, where after you turn off the igntion the engine just keeps wanting to chug along sluggishly and pings until it finally dies? Do you mean when you hit the IGN button to turn off the car, the button isn't responsive and the engine keeps running? Have you tried turning off the engine when the transmission is still in D or R?
