I have a 2015 Murano SL. I bought an extra key about two years ago and had it programmed by the dealer. It worked fine. My primary key fob’s battery ran out 3 months ago so I bought a 3-pack of new batteries. Replacing the primary key fob’s battery worked fine and no issues. But a month later I decided to replace the 2nd key fob’s battery. Now the 2nd key fob will not communicate with the car (won’t lock/unlock/open trunk, or sound alarm).
Any advice on what I should do to get the 2nd remote working again?
I tried putting the previous battery back in but that didn’t work.
Any clips inside that I need to make sure connect?
Thank you. Just thinking out loud. May have lost my backup key through preventive msi

The inside of the key case normally has marking indicating the polarity of the battery. (it may be less obvious but the car makers try to provide this information through the markings inside.)
