Just noticed when high beams are turned on by pushing the stalk the dash indicator comes on, but high beams do not.
Anybody?

That could be the High Beam Assist - the high beam assist indicator comes on but do not actually illuminate until low lighting is detected. When the detected light level is low enough, the high beams automatically come on. Maybe the ambient lighting near you is too bright?

If you have your lights set to 'auto' the high beams will not come on if any other light is detected. Try turning your headlights on without using the 'auto' setting. Hopefully that works.
