Hello
Sometimes when the engine is cold, or sometime even when its warm up, i feel engine is working bad, kinda shaking in idle mode, and when in drive it gets more noticeable! and at the same time i can smell the gas in cabin.
Diag tool i have ( cvtz50) shows no error code.
could anyone please have a guess what could be the issue so i know where to look for?
Thx much

A noticeable fuel smell from the exhaust is not abnormal with a cold start since pretty much all engines run rich for a short period after a cold start. However, this would not be normal when the engine is at operating temperature. I would suggest checking long-term fuel trims on your scan tool at idle with the engine warmed up to see if they're high negative (< -10.0). Another possibility for the smell given the age of your car is an exhaust leak that's allowing fumes into the air vents during open loop (assuming the vents are set to fresh air instead of recirculated air).

thx. My issue is not the smell.. Its mostly the fact that engine works abnormally. its like its kind starting to shut down. shakes. doesnt run smoothly. and when in drive and i push the pedal, it give vibration to the cabin, like its obvious something is wrong with engine, also i can only smell gas when this happens. so i first notice engine not working good. then i can smell gas. ( with all windows closed)
I said that gas smell thing to help to diagnose the issue.
thanks again

The intake tube crack, like everyone mentions,a fuel leak from fuel lines or injector, need to look and see if you see any leakage of fuel.
Hi thanks for the reply, Could this also explain the engine working bad ( im nto sure what is it called mechanically, but i can feel shaking, un even noises. Like RPM is nto steady, however it not taht abd to show in cluster. but i can feel it)
my main issue is that. smelling gas was just a symptom
Thx

The smell is a clue. When the engine is at operating temperature you shouldn't smell gasoline. You say this happens when you "push the pedal" so it may be that the engine is misfiring under load, which would send unburnt fuel out the tail pipe and that could account for what you're smelling. Is the MIL flashing when this happens?

MIL?
It usually happens when engine is idle and gas pedal is not pressed. When i push the pedal in idle it gets better. but as soon as i let pedal go it keep jerking? usually takes like 10 mins or so when cols for this to go away.
