All, I was browsing the web last night and I stumbled onto the PIE electronics site and they appear to have an adaptor that will allow an aftermarket changer or SAT tuner to be controlled by a factory radio. I don't want to get my hopes up here but has anyone heard of this? If so, could this be our answer? Even if it doesn't work now, I'm sure that if we reach out to them and show them how big of a demand they could have for this product, they would consider it.. anyways, here's what's on their site..
NIS/PC-PIOX
CD CHANGER AND PIONEER XM SATELLITE RADIO TUNER INTERFACE
NISSAN TO PIONEER
CONNECTS TO FACTORY: 12-PIN AT HEADUNIT
COMPATIBLE WITH: PIONEER CD CHANGER MODEL CDX-P680, P676
PIONEER XM SATELLITE RADIO TUNERS, MODELS 900, 903 & 910
Isn't the non-Bose system a 12 pin connector at the headunit? according to their application guide, it was designed for the Nissan QUEST. If it's the same connector/radio, shouldn't it work? http://www.pie.net/index.htm
