Well, as you all know, today was the day to install the push bar/light bar/nudge bar on the MO. At the same time I also ordered the all weather floor mats and the rear bumper protector. I ordered all of the items from here.
Everything went well and here's the pics to prove it!
Floor mats:
Bumper guard:
Open
Closed
And here is the push bar install:
Here is all that came in the box
First you have to remove the front 'mudflap' and then insert one of the black metal pieces through this hole
Inside the hole there are predrilled holes that you bolt it to
I suggest turning your wheel out to gain access to these holes. The driver side is very easy and the passenger side was more of a PITA because of the windshield washer reserve.
According to the instructions, it is easiest to bolt the passenger side in if you attack it from an angle parallel to the bumper.
After thats done, screw in your mudflaps and then bolt on the guard.
It was getting kind of dark so I could only snap a pic before I called it a day
Overall, the install was pretty easy and I'm not mechanically inclined. I'd say that everything took about 1 hour to do total. The bar itself is very very lightweight, but it seemed fairly strong. I sat on it and it held me, while it was on the MO, with no problems. As for a 1.5 ton car....well...I hope I never find out.:2:
