CoolMomo-

According to the Owners Manual, the standard Xenon (HID) bulb is a D2S.

H3 and 9005 refer to Halogen bulbs. The H3 is a fog light and the 9005 is a headlight.

The D2R bulb is meant for reflector headlamps (such as that in the non-HID Murano), and have a built in opaque "shield" along the length of the bulb to reduce glare. Aftermarket halogen to HID conversion kits often use this bulb (but with a lot of glare).

The D2S bulb is meant for projector beam headlamps (such as those in the HID Murano), which have a tighter focus, so they do not have the opaque section on the bulb.

Both bulbs fit the same socket and are of the same brightness.
