Hello! New member here. My wife owns a 2015 Murano Platinum AWD w/ 25000 miles. Recently we took it to the dealership for regular maintenance and winter tire swap-out. Dealer informed my wife that the front and rear brake pads were low (3mm and 4mm respectively). That part seemed like a normal recommendation. First brake pad replacement for the car.
However they also told her that all four rotors needed to be replaced. I didn't get info on what they measured but the service paperwork only mentions "lots of rust" for the front driver side rotor. Needless to say I'm taking it in for a second opinion. They don't seem that worn on my look but I don't have a micrometer to measure them.
No shimmy or shake during braking. Everything else on the car is fine. I've never heard of rotors going this fast but I don't have experience with Nissans. Anyone have experience with 3rd Gen Muranos burning through rotors this fast or was the service guy trying to take my wife for a ride?
