Ok, I don't know how it happened, but I have about 3 or four little pinhead sized chips in the black shiny plastic that supports the side mirror on my passenger side. I could probably live with it, but there is white showing through the black surface. Must have thrown up a stone from the front tire.

My fix, most likely a temporary one, was to buy a black-ink permanent marking Sharpie pen and paint the white spots. Looks pretty good now, as the white dots were really bothering me. Most likely will need a reapplication after rain or carwash.

Anyone else have this problem?

I brushed past my driver's side mirror and nicked the black part with the zipper from my jacket. I did the sharpie fix, too. That was about a month ago. I've washed the MO three times since then and the spot I touched up is still black.

You can also use some touch up paint from Nissan.
There are two kind, one is touch up only, the other is touch up paint with clear coat. Almost any website sells Nissan products has it.
So, check em out.
