I've noticed every once in a while, while I'm sitting at a light.. I get this "bump" feeling and the MO moves forward a few inches.

it happens when I'm light on the break (but without moving it.)
I suspect it's just the transmission "adjusting" etc..

anyone else noticed this??

I get it too, and it scares the heck out of me.

I also check my six for granny or SUV-mom.

I find it strange that the drivetrain has various.. uh.. unlocking points.

There's my favorite... the torque converter clutch opening or closing whenever you cancel engine braking by hitting the gas (after you feel engine braking has started.. ie, you start slowing down). There's an occasional slight 'jolt' there.

Then the CVT disengages and everything switches to regular tranny at 18 MPH. This can result in a slight lurching sensation when coasting to a stop.

Then there's something that unlocks when you're dead stopped, causing the 'bump' effect. What is it?

I'd love to sit some Murano engineers down and ask them just what the heck is going on here :p
