Eric-Eric L. said:To make matters worse, I had the lumbar support TSB performed - this time they had to take apart the back of the seat. Got the car back, drivers seatback cover was halfway off, and now the seat creaks and squeaks even more! Lumber support works again though.
Yeah its no wonder that people here are reluctant to take their Muranos to the dealer even for a SAFETY recall.njjoe said:
It's a shame, but sometimes you roll the dice when you take your car in for service. It should not be that way, but it is.
Some mechanics are both competent and caring. Others are neither.
bigbman-bigbman said:The squak actually sounds like it's coming form the read of the car, perhaps in the passenger seats, or one of the compartments in the back. Anyone have this problem? My front seat doesn't make much noise.
Nizmo-Nizmo said:Squeaky Seats, I told my service dealer to check on it too.
It turned out just my imagination~

Wait a minute....did they tell you "could not reproduce?!"
And you believed them?
I've noticed that my driver's seat was squeaking a little bit over the last 6 months or so. And then over the last few days it really seemed like it was moving when I go around a corner...I park in an underground garage and have steep/sharp turns coming in and out.njjoe said:
There is a Nissan Technical Service Bulletin (TSB #05043 released 06/2005) that addresses your problem. The following link will take you to the TSB:
I hope this helps.
