I performed the bypass on my 09 LE without Nav. While I was at it, I ran the power/traffic cable on my custom installed Garmin Nav. I am VERY pleased with the results and the bypass is a cake walk. Hardest part (and not necessary to do the bypass) was removing the vents around the stock LCD screen.

I performed the bypass without switch as I dont care about the volume control increase. I dont think it works that well any way. So I simply cut the GREEN (Parking Brake wire) and grounded the wire coming OUT of the unit. I then cut the VIOLET vehicle speed wire and taped off both ends. THATS IT! Works like a champ. I can now have NAV on my stock screen if I want using my iPhone 4s and AUX mode. I can play videos there too. I have the stock rear DVD setup so I can view on both front and rear screens all the time.
