Good day! We just bought a '15 SL - traded an '14 Infiniti Q50 for it, needed the cargo space. I've owned (3)Maximas, an '85 an '89 and a '94 - also owned an '05 Infiniti FX35 - big fan of Nissans as you can see. Glad to have found this group - my immediate interest is cargo area protection/mat(s) and from the looks of things Weathertech seems to be recommended by many. I'd love to know if anyone has a solution to cover the entire cargo area to the back of the front seats (in other words, when the back seats are folded down, something to cover/protect the back of those back seats). Thanks!

Stacy, I don't know of one. You might be able to have one custom-made by a local upholstery shop, but it's probably going to sag considerably in the middle if you don't include a "rib" to hold it up. They could make one that snaps on, then add the corresponding snap points to the interior trim. Sounds like a lot of hassle to me.

I have also owned 2 2007's, one which I loved and drove 165,000 mile before selling and the other that I bought to replace it that wasn't as well cared for so I traded it on the 2019. Anyway, I found this forum when searching for solutions to a water leak on the 2019. It was the sunroof drains and I did post about it in the Gen 3 category. Thanks to all who help makes owning a Murano more pleasurable. I love this forum! Oh, I've had 3 "Z" cars too...

I just bought a used Murano SL AWD for my teenager. I had been looking for a reliable used car for over three months and found this car. It seems mechanically sound (no records other than nothing came up on Carfax). Has 148K miles. Few things need attention. Small oil leak. sun visor needs replaced and the information screen is scratched pretty bad.
I found this site hoping to see if anyone had luck with replacement parts, currently the info screen.

Hi Mike - screens sometimes are available on Ebay or in wrecking yards/auto recyclers. There are many discussions of sun visors which you can find. The oil leak is worth finding. If it is the oil pan gasket, memory tells me that they're not hard to replace.

Hi Everyone! Well....we bought our first Nissan yesterday...a 2019 Murano SL...it has 29,080 miles on it and we think we are gonna like it
Today is my 2nd day of retirement so we are hoping it will last for years...trouble free...
I think we got a pretty good deal on it at $30k out the door...
It is a one owner car with leather and brand new tires...
I am a car guy that has primarily owned muscle cars and Corvettes throughout my life but getting older now and need more of a grocery getter LOL
Truthfully the car is pretty much my wife's car as I still own and drive a 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe...pictured below...which is currently for sale but secretly I hope nobody buys it lOL
Like most car guys, I have been on many car forums over the years and found them a wealth of information so of course I had to hope right on a Murano forum asap

Welcome to the group. I hope the Murano is a good one, but I'd darn sure keep the Caddy as a way to nurture my spirit. That's one big reason I have a 1983 Datsun 280ZX Turbo in the garage.

Especially if its going well and you can afford to own it.
Your MO should be an okay car, dependability-wise, but if it turns into a problem car you'll wish you had another.
Maybe keep it until you are satisfied that the MO isn't going to be a problem?

To go even further, having been on this forum to read some tales of anguish, woe and car problems...
Get a OBDII reader that is compatible with the CVTz50 Android App (CVTz50 - CVT diagnostics with ELM327) which is very good for diagnosing and monitoring the CVT (not sure about the Murano Z52, (if that is what you model release is), and an App that can read more of the DTCs of the car (I don't know which one to recommend, post a question re this).
Diagnose and monitor your car, especially the CVT you might pick something up before your warranty runs out, if there was a dealer warranty in the purchase, (I don't know American car resale law).
The CVT (and the Transfer Case, if your car is AWD), can be a huge PITA (and seem to be too often so, in my opinion).
Extended warranty, if you bought one, or can, has been the saviour of some MO owners of this forum.

Thanx for the advise! I will look into it... After buying this car I am hearing nightmare stories about that CVT trans and it's got me nervous !!!

Hi Everyone,
I have no three Murano and it will be my first time drive you one. I have purchased an Altima and juke in the past and enjoyed both of them. I came to the site because I bought the Murano used and it definitely has some problems. Most everything I've been able to figure out but needed a little bit of additional guidance and have posted in the problem section 🙂
Hopefully I am able to gain some wisdom and save a little bit of money the process.. lol

Hello to the group! I drive a 2009 Murano S which I purchased new in late '08.
She has 89k on the od and I have had few problems. I perform most of my own repairs
I love the car. I drive it everyday to work and elsewhere. I found this group when I experienced an idling problem and solved it with info from here. The intake hose between the air box and TB was cracked, vacuum leak.
