OK, I give up. I have owned the MO for 5 months and have yet to figure out what the little rectangle shaped outline behind the passenger doors in front of the rear wheel wells is for.
My only guess is its and area designed to catch traces of car wax.
Alright, that's not it but what is it? I first noticed it when viewing my MO during and inspection upon delivery. My heart jumped as I thought some wierd crack developed. I raced to the other side to see it was part of the design but what function does it serve?

It's my understanding from some prior post's that it is there to protect the area from chipping. Kind of like Armor for the area. Apparently they discovered that the area was prone to be hit by flying debris from the front tires etc... If you've heard of or seen the Clearbra discussions, I believe it is a similar material.

They are protective plastic patches to prevent paint damage in that area from road debris thrown up by the front wheels.
