A post came through not too long ago that showed accessories available in Japan, and they had a nav shot that looked much cooler than even our birdview. That equipment came from Xanavi. I checked Zenrin's site and they only named Nissan from the normally navigable pages from the home page. But from here http://www.zenrin.com/ci_general.html you can see Xanavi listed as a hardware customer. Finally, from here http://www.gpsnuts.com/myGPS/GPS/Hardware reviews/Infinity/infinity_GPSf.htm, a review of the Infiniti QX4 nav (so a bit dated, I guess) the reviewer said the mfgr was Xanavi. I'm led to believe Nissan has used Xanavi for nav hardware for quite some time.
Good find, Zooropa, I guess I didn't see the forest in the trees!! Okay, now that we know its Xanavi and Xanavi runs Microsoft CE for Automotive, anyone want the files from my upgrade CD to reverse engineer the OS and application? Who knows, maybe someone will port it to PocketPC.
