Should be picking up my MO sometime this week (FINALLY, geez, it's been 98 days since I placed my factory order).

Anyway, I ordered XM, and I'm wondering if it will be automatically up and running at the time I pick up the car, or if I'm going to need to grab an activation code or something before it will work properly? How can I test it to make sure it's functioning properly before signing off on the delivery?

You will still need to call XM to subscribe to their service. Your radio has a code that the dealer will give you when you pick up the car. You can also get it by tuning to channel 0. When you give this code to the XM people and agree to pay $10/month, they will activate your radio.

I did it at the dealership

when I picked it up, but I think it takes about 45 minutes for the radio to activate. However, channel 1 (the preview channel) is active even without a subscription, so if you can receive that, that should be a good test.
