I installed my xm radio last night, and activated it around 8:30pm. They told me it could take up to 24 hrs to start working. That seem kinda crazy to me.

So it is almost 6:30pm, 2 hrs shy and still nothing.

What kind of time periods did anyone else take?

Is there something that I have to do? I have been driving around all day with the preview channel, trying to get something!

Nothing in the satellite world takes 24 hours. (except one rotation of the earth).

Just turned on my XM to channel 1 and came inside and entered my radio code in the refresh site, it was working by the time I got back to the car.

Thanks! Worked like a charm. Man, I wish I would have asked earlier!

Is there any type of operation manual for it? I remember reading something about the cat button, but mine just goes to the emergency station. Maybe it is not completely loaded yet?
