Is there any kind of cargo net available for the 2011 SL? I know there is a trunk liner that has a cargo net pop up of sorts, but my SL came with the floor matt and while you can lift that up, the below storage offers no net or anything to hold cargo in place. Right now i just have boxes in the car, which are great if you have a lot of cargo, but small cargo slides all over inside the box and i would prefer a net, but i can't seem to find any sold by Nissan. If some one knows of a place to buy one it would be greatly appreciated.

No, not specifically for the Murano from Nissan. Go to eBAY and search "Cargo netting". You will find many nets for cheap that will work for you. Many of the eBAY cargo net ads list measurements. I got one there new for $11.50 shipped. Worked well, I just had to move the attachment hooks (easy) on the netting so it fit as I desired.

Also you might check and see if you have a Truck N Stuff or 4 wheel vehicle store near you...they carry a lot of those cargo nets for the ATVs and other vehicles in a variety of sizes and configurations. I found a couple that worked really well at Harbor Freight....the measurements are the key. The 09 LE comes with the pop up compartments where the spare tire goes that holds three regular sized grocery bags...it could be handy for some folks but I don't use it a lot. I don't think they continued that option in the later models.

Chuck’s quite right, lots of cargo nets readily available, we even, on rare occasions, use the one that came with the wife’s GS and it works fine. Most of the time we use the pop-up storage system over the spare for holding grocery bags, and such. The 09, was unique in having this particular gadget as it was eliminated in subsequent years. Another of those victims of the dreaded corporate bean-counters. :(

I think Bill is right...I havne't seen that pop up device in any MO other than the 09...and I don't know what year you have. You need to be sure that if you don't have an 09, that you check the fitment before you jump thru the hoops trying to find one. My best advice would be to call several of the Nissan recycle centers....they have a central computer where they can enter a notice that they're looking for a particular part....the recyclers are tied into a nationwide database where they might find one in some location and be able to have it shipped after you pay for it....otherwise, I dont know of any other way you could get one unless there's a MO owner who doesn't want it or never uses it.

I've got a 2011 SL. They still make it, i learned about it at the car design part of the Nissan web site and i even saw it on a car on the Lot when i was looking back when i got my car. But the car that had it was 3-4k more then the SL i got. I ended up buying a net at walmart, they had a generic 9.99 one. So far it's okay, not as nice as the one i used to have in my previous xterra or my wife's Maxima, but it gets the job done and the price was right. :)

Like i said before Bill i can't find a place that sells this, I saw it on the lot in a 2011 when i bought my car, i didn't get the option in my car. Nissan no longer allows access to 2011 cars on there web site and as i said before no one sells this. The whole point of this post was to try and find someone who sold this.

And my point is nobody does sell it for the 2010, 2011, 2012. Someone wanting one could contact a Nissan Recycling business (junk yard specifically dealing in used Nissan parts) and buy one used. Problem is I do not believe they would install in new Murano's without some jury rigging/adapting if it was possible at all. The item is question was absolutely not available for the 2010, 2011 and presently not avail. for the 2012.

By the way, falconsfan78, I truly believe you are mistaken you saw the pop-up carrier and or a Nissan cargo net in a 2011.... unless somebody adapted a used pop up to his 2011 and you saw this used 2011 at the dealership.

I'm positive i saw a cargo net in the back one one. I know because i really wanted one and i had seen one and i talked with the sales rep about it when i saw it in a LE model. I've heard that the 2009 cargo net one will fit in a 2010 perfectly and since the 11 is the same i think it wold fit. I'm thinking it's the exact same one that i saw on the lot I have found sites online that sell the 2007 one for around $130. But i just don't want to pay that price for a pop up cargo net system when i can buy just a net for so much cheaper, which i already have done. I've also heard that new murano's still come with it in Japan.

Ah........... that may explain things a bit. Such a a pop up cargo net system is not offered as an option/accessory on the US Murano 2011 or 2012.

You wouldn't happen to know if it is an available accessory in Canada and if so the psrt # of same? I'm not interested but others here might be.

Gentlemen: I have a 2009 LE and it has this ....."unobtanium" grocery bag device in it. To be truthful, the back comes covered with a custom rubber covering that can be taken in and out, which is then covered by a custom cut mat that matches the carpeting and by the time you have all those things in place, it becomes a PIA to have to lift up all those covers just to have a place to put your grocery bags.

Although I guess I'm fortunate (?) in that I have that much sought after doo-dad, it appears that its attraction seems to come more from the fact that it's not readily available as opposed to how really useful it is. Most of the time I end up putting the grocery bags on the back seat...or if the seats are down accomodate the dog, I set them up against the backrest of the front seats....or when alone, I set the bags on the floor of the front seat and on the seat itself.

I truthfully believe that ....as I said before, it's the unaviailability of the accessory that seems to draw so much attention. It's one of those "I just gotsta' have one" that seems to draw the crowd.

I just checked the 2012 Can. Mo specs and found "foldable cargo organizer" is a standard equipment for all trim levels. (Retractable cargo cover, too)
