My 2006 Murano's Rack and Pinion appears to be leaking. I put a drip pan and found new oil drips and it's right under the R&P assembly. The lower half of the R&P boot covers are wet and upper half is dry which tells me it's not leaking from above and it's possible the R&P seals are leaking. It only has 55K miles. Is it a common problem? I have researched for a price of a replacement and does not appear to be cheap. It seems to start at around $425 and most likely re-furbished.
I have not been on this forum for a while and I cannot figure out how to do a search. This forum looks different and it was easy to do a search with the previous forum format. Anyone knows how to do a search? I see a Google search at upper right but always comes up empty. Do I need to buy a Premium subscription to do a search?
