Wow this thread is crazy.

Just to clarify, from a dealership tech that I am, a vehicle's warranty starts on the day it is first sold to a consumer, not when built or shipped to a dealer. We call this the "in-service date". Car could sit on the lot for months and warranty not begin until it's sold to a consumer or whoever buys it. Therefore your CVT warranty is good for 10 years from that date. Not the manufactured "build date".

There have been times when the vehicle arrives with a problem that we find before the sale during our pre delivery inspection, at that point Nissan pays us as a separate internal claim rather than a warranty claim.

Contact your local Nissan dealer with your VIN and they can verify all this for you.
