When navigating to a destination, there needs to be a map view setting which keeps the map view unencumbered with a split screen view whenever one gets close to exits and turns.

I found it extremely annoying and a hazardous when entering complex interchanges. The turn list is useless and too dangerous to actually read. The expanded intersection view is generally too small an area to deal with many complex intersections. I missed turns on two exit ramps recently because I couldn't see the big picture.

On previous Infinitis we owned, there was a plain view setting, no split screen. Anyone know how to do this on the Murano 2015?

Nav Screen

There are SEVERAL options to change the view on the NAV screen. You can have split view, 3D view, 2D view, etc - its a matter of personal preference. There is an auto view that will split the screen when you are approaching the next turn, that can be turned off or back on. Your turn by turn also is visible between the tach and speedo if you have that turned on. I think all of this is in the owners manual - mine came with a separate manual for the nav system - you can also find the manuals on line at Nissans website if you don't have one.

If you cant figure it out, repost something with a specific question and I will try to get you an answer.

You said: "There is an auto view that will split the screen when you are approaching the next turn, that can be turned off or back on. The "off or back on"

I'm familiar with all the Nav screen settings. But, can't find a way to stop the Auto Split-screen when navigating and approaching a turn.

NAV settings

Sorry it took so long, I have not been in the forum for a while. I looked at mine the other day and in the NAV setting, there is an option for "turn by turn" which can be modified - I think that is what you may be looking for. It will not allow the screen to split when approaching a turn.

I'm probably not being clear. I don't want ANY split screens; just the street view so I can see the big picture.

The turn-by-turn on the spit screen is a major safety hazard. Have you tried to read the damn thing when approaching a complex interstate junction?

You may try to tap the MAP icon the second time to get the full screen. Then tap it again and it will return to the split screen again. Hope this is what your looking for,

Map View

Yes, the map icon will change the view to one of three views 1. always point north, which will have the road map pointing north at all times, 2. rotate north, which will allow the road map to rotate when you turn and 3. birdseye view or isometric view which is a profile that you can change the zoom and angle of the view (higher or lower)

ok one more thing. When in the map view. on the right side of the screen there is a Map Menu Icon. tap that and then on the left side there is some choices .. may be.. ?????

Yes, tap the MAP VIEW (or map menu; not sure if all nav versions have the same options available, I assume they do!!) button on the right side of the screen, that will give the three views I was talking about above - The map ICON is in the settings area, where you can add icons like food places, gas stations, ATMs and the like. These will show up on the left side of the screen and you can select various options to change views, split screens, add icons, etc.
