Does anyone know if there is a way to change the power lock setting. Right now it's setup to unlock the doors when the car is turned off. Is there a way to change that setting to unlock once the vehicle is put in park?
Well, if you go to that dealer, the simple answer is that the cost is what he says it is. At many places, a half-hour is the minimum shop charge. What is the cost of this. My dealer said they have to bill half hour of technicians charge
My dealer wanted to charge me at first. I told them they did my Juke for free when I bought that and knew it was only a 5 minute job to do the locks. They could tell I was pissed and backed down and did it for free. What is the cost of this. My dealer said they have to bill half hour of technicians charge
The second picture I posted was page 24 (DLK-24) of the Service Manual. The first picture I posted was the screen that he should be looking at using their computer. They have to hook the computer up to change this option. There really isn't a need for a Tech to know this option, but they should be able to find it and change it.Grey. I asked the tech about that picture and he acted like he knew what it was but now I am wondering. I will take it in next week.
So was there anything else specific I can print out of that manual you know of? Like a certain page or pages?
You are a gem for helping so much and I appreciate it!
My radio has never kept playing when the ignition is shut off. I didn't think Nissan included the radio in the retained accessory power... just the windows.Have not noticed that side effect Brund, but a byproduct of my tech finally figuring this out, is that the radio does not keep playing until a door is opened anymore. Radio shuts off with ign off !
Makes me wonder what else has been changed unintentionally.
I wish that were possible. When pulling up to pump gas and my family is sitting inside the car, they want to keep listening to the radio. Well, you have to cycle the infotainment back on and watch the little Nissan emblem video and Nissan Connect logo thing all over again. After about 30-45 seconds (if you were listening to blue tooth), you're back in business. 30-45 seconds is an eternity for my 13 year old daughter. It's a small miracle!!! Today after going in for the first oil change...my service Tech finally figured out how to get ALL 4 doors to unlock when shifting into park!! WHOO HOO!!
And if someone figures out how to keep the radio on after you shut the car off you better tell me HOW!! LOL
YEP..on my Gen 2 you just had to hit the start stop twice in a row pretty quick. It would shut off the motor and keep the radio going. Now it's indeed a 30-45 second wait.I wish that were possible. In our 2014 Durango, all you had to do was hit the start button again one time to keep it on accessory power after shutting off the engine. FCA allows everything to run on retained accessory power.
