I think the same or similar issue with this year was brought up and resolved a few months ago, but I can't find that thread. I seem to recall the missing button is accessed using a different button. Try pressing and holding the NAV button to see if that brings up the trip function and fuel usage options. When I have more time I'll see if I can locate that old thread.

Actually, maybe it's the ECO button that when pressed and held or pressed repeatedly brings up the trip options.

I think the thread I was referring to had to do with maintence reminders and resets. But I do recall at some point someone asked about the trip or MPG info.

I can't make out the words on the buttons in your photo. It just zooms in too grainy. Could you take a clearer, closer picture?

No, I can't. Are you only looking for the trip function or other things? Or did you mean it shows a trip button that you don't have? I'm not really clear on exactly what you need, aside from the correct manual for what you have. There seems to be a few different versions of that 1st Gen control panel. I've seen three so far. The head unit may have been changed since new, or you were given the wrong manual. I believe there was a manual just for the radio/display/NAV thing that wasn't part of the Owner's Manual.

Until it can be figured out what you have and how to use it, you might try pressing one of the buttons (for example <INFO>) and then use the joystick to try to move through any menus/options that may be exist as you scroll left/right or up/down. I believe pressing down on the center of the joystick is to select/enter an option or save it.

Looks like your system might be a EU/European version, though the lower radio area is different. The control-button layout seems to be like yours.

Thanks guys. That is my layout but I don’t have a trip or maintenance button. I am assuming I should have access to different displays others than Sat nav
I would also assume that, but I have no idea what controls to use to display them. I'm just assuming you've pressed or pressed-held or multi-pressed every button imaginable and then tried to push other buttons or use the joystick controls to try to reveal some other information. That button setup seems to look geared for NAV/SAT, so who knows if other stuff can be displayed. Do you have a "trip/reset" button/knob somewhere around the speedometer/tachometer gauges? If so, maybe try pressing and holding it in conjunction with pressing the INFO or SETTINGS button on the display controls.

Wish I could offer a solution, but my 2003 didn't have NAV/SAT, and my 2021 is more intuitively laid out. I would again refer to the info I already posted, and possibly treat the INFO button as the TRIP button or something. https://www.nissanmurano.org/posts/785490/

BTW, have you tried using the buttons/controls during various powered on or ignition positions? Maybe first try using the buttons in many ways with the ignition set to position #1. If that does nothing, try placing the ignition in position #2. If that does nothing, try starting the car and playing with the buttons (provided your car is running outside of a closed environment so you don't inhale exhaust fumes).

Thanks for your help friend

BTW, is there an option to turn off MAPS/NAV? Maybe it's as simple as using the BACK button or the joystick to manipulate an icon or menu on the NAV screen in order to show something else. I would check all the icons and settings within that NAV/MAP display very carefully, as there could be something very easy to select to show other information.

Oh, and if you have a trip reset button/knob near the gauges, sometimes twisting the knob to one direction for a second will make something else happen. Maybe your car will transform into an airplane.

One more thing I thought of... With my 2021, I can choose which things appear between my gauges display by going into settings and deselecting things I don't want to see, such as fuel info, compass, tire pressure info, etc. Not sure the 1st Gen was savvy enough to have such features, but you might play around with various things to see if certain features have been hidden or disabled.

I do have a reset trip button but that is in the middle of the clocks on the dashboard

What about an SD card slot that the NAV/SAT system runs off of? I've seen pictures at this forum of certain Muranos that have a slot that the card inserts into and ejects from. If your system has such a slot, maybe try pulling out the card and turning the car off and back on. Maybe that will disable NAV and show different info on the display. Grasping at straws...

But it would be helpful of you posted clearer/closer pics of the LCD and NAV screens, and maybe even radio controls, in case someone here sees something that you don't that might solve this problem.
