I have an answer to this question.

As an avid water skier, one worry is always of dropping the Intelligent Key into the lake. That would be a bad, and expensive, mistake. Well... this evening, trying to go out, and get two barefoot water ski runs in before this large storm moved in, a dreadful thing happened. My Dad left the key in his pocket. As he is taking his barefoot suit off, after his run, standing in the boat, I hear a slow, "Oh No......." I have no idea what has happened... and he reaches in his swim suit pocket and pulls out a soaked Intelligent Key. At this point, the wind just started to pick up... and the black sky is in sight. Thunder rumbling in the distance. Time to head 6 miles back up the lake to the boat ramp from our protected cove.

So the question is: after submerging the Mo's Intelligent Key, and taking it on a barefoot waterski run, WILL IT STILL WORK?

Of course it does! Thanks, Nissan. In my opinion, this is quite a testimonial to this key. I thought others on here might like to hear this story.. I figured the RFID chip would be fried in it. What a relief!

Why not just leave it in the boat?

That is what we do. But in trying to beat the storm, he forgot to take it out of his pocket, so it stayed in there and went for a swim, lol.

Actually we should thank the supplier.

Ok I've left lots of things in my pockets but never a fob. Once again, amazing.
Yeah, I know. I will sometimes put them in the cargo pockets of my BDU's or in the big pockets of my shorts and just forget it's there when I put them through the wash....I can be very forgetful sometimes when it comes to that damn key.:2:
