Thank you! You guys are Awesome!!! Looks like I did check the fluid level correctly, but sadly I just googled the color of CVT trans fluid, it should look like regular ATF fluid, now I feel really sick. I don't think a fluid change/filter change will help this one out, but I will to see and Hope for the best. I'm getting to old to work on this stuff in the driveway. I'm also assuming I will need to drop the engine and trans out the bottom, with no chance of just pulling the trans out the side?
Sounds like elm is the way to go for now, I have my daughters old I-pad, that away I can see the screen better. As long as I can pull trans codes I will be happy.

Thank you again.
Given the age of your vehicle, I'd also check the air intake hose. If it has never been replaced, there is a good chance it has some cracks by now leading to behavior that would make you think it's a transmission issue. At 10 year mark, when my Murano had delayed response time going from stop, my first thought was also "oh no, not the transmission".

What I've never understood about the air intake boot problem is, it doesn't seem very consistent. The one on my 2003 is original with 304,000 miles and is still very black and pliable and has never cracked, and that car lived about 3/4 of its life in the hot and dusty/dirty city of L.A. And yet I hear of 1st and 2nd Gen MOs that seemingly had failures within ten years and/or with a little over 100,000 miles. Was it a bad production of boots? Is it from owners/mechanics who are careless and spraying caustic chemicals onto the rubber? I've seen some boots that look powdery white/gray, almost as if the hood was left open and exposed to the sun for years. Really strange.
Good question/observation. As you eluded, perhaps the longevity did vary between batches/suppliers as no one expected the part to develop cracks. I dont know if other brand of cars also experience this failure and related symptoms.
