I hae a 2007 Murano. Had the engine and transmission out to fix a leak created from a loose bolt that put a small hole ito the crankcase. Had it repaired and no longer leaks. The small shop put it back in and together but had a vvt bank 1 code. I happened to find the wire that was not connected to the sensor. Other end was pinch carb intake clamp lol. Single wire red and blue stripe I believe. Cannot figure out or see where it goes. Will attach pics of plug and wire color. Oh plus it has to clamp bolt down spots on it. Any help is appreciated. I've searched for info but have not fid it out yet.

The only one wire harness that pops out immediately in my mind is the oil pressure sensor but it's on the opposite end of the engine, down at the bottom by the crankshaft. Don't know how you could get the harness up there. Have a look down below your crank pulley and there should be a sensor down there with one wire connected to it. If you don't have one connected, maybe this is it. But your oil light would be on right now as well so maybe that's not it.....

We had another thread too in addition to the one @amarettomurano linked. I hadn't ever seen that one as it was before my time. I think I got fooled in the other thread too that if the wire is disconnected, I assumed that the light would be on. Maybe it's the other way around and that the light can never turn on if the wire is disconnected. I guess I figured it would make more sense to engineer it to fail on so you'll investigate rather than fail off and give you false sense that your oil pressure is fine when it isn't..... So does the oil light come on with the key on/engine off? Obviously you have no oil pressure then and it should be lit.
