Three weeks ago, check engine light came on with P0305 which most of us know means a misfiring at cylinder 5. I had a misfiring code before but at cylinder 3 a month ago but erased the code as I thought it was due to bad gas. Since last week although it's been awfully cold here (-18 celsius) engine makes this tapping noise upon cold start and it usually lasts longer than the first couple of seconds on the video. Oil level is ok and oil filter is OEM but to my ears, it's almost as if it was a dry start. Any ideas? Anyone had that before?
- The noise can be heard from the 9th second till the 11th on the video and usually goes on for about 20 seconds or so but on that particular day, it wasn't as pronounced as usual. Must've been because temperature was around (-3 celsius) that day.
