I hope this isnt like the forums for other cars ive owned where people love to hate lolll..

but anyways, the only intake i saw for my 06 murano was the injen and it looked like a very simple setup so i decided i would go for it myself.

I found a "universal" shortram pipe that actually has a few pivot points that can be moved and then tightened into place to get the right angle. I installed the to the throttle body and then from there attached the MAF housing then bought a MAF adapter to change the 4bolt arrangement into a 3" outlet to fit the cone filter. The only thing i can imagine that COULD be a little better i guess would be if i had gone with a K&N filter instead of the pepboys brand, but it sounds nice and I know this isnt a racecar i just needed some kinda noise from this thing. looks real nice IMO and sounds awesome it just gets louder and louder as you go up in RPMs lol

Welcome! Thats a coo intake you got there. Care to share the brand and part numbers you used? Im guessing you used spectre products right? Somethime else to consider might be making a sheetmetal heat sheild to insulate the filter some from the engine heat but overall looks good and functions good too.

um im not sure of the parts numbers but it was a pipe piece w/ 3 rings around it where the pipe will rotate unless you tighten the clamps. then i bought 2 3" silicone couplers, a 4bolt flange to 3" hose converter that bolts to the end of the MAF sensor where the airbox was. then lastly the filter 3" as well.

I was planning on eventually making a little heatshield like the injen intake comes with also. Im gonna be doing a lot of little things to this thing so ill keep everyone updated :)

i only have a little breather on that hose that you have the oil catch attached to so i shouldnt get any blow by that i know of? not sure
It'd be a good idea to put that pcv hose to your intake system between the maf and throttlebody, otherwise your pcv system isn't working properly and you could be adding extra wear and tear on your engine.

okay i def will as soon as this horrible weather is over here in wonderful jerz lol
Hehe same here in Long Island man..... gonna be more snow.....

and yeah just goto lowes or home depot, get the oil catcher for air compressor.
it will help keep catch the oil that blow (very minimal I have only see spots in the oil catcher) and also help keep moisture as well.
